Better ways of posting formatted text in the blogs

Posted by adicodes on March 24, 2012

http://hilite.me

I have asked one of my colleague how he is managing better formatting in his posts. He gave the above link

This gives formatted text with styles for various coding languages like c#, vb.net, html, xml…..

With this we can get rid of codes that are pasted as images which are not user friendly especially when we try to copy useful code.

Save ms word as html

As everyone is familiar setting styles in ms word; save ms word as html after your article is written in ms word. After saving, take the html code by viewsource . Any how when word is saved as html, too many styles will come. We may need to spend some time deleting some junk, but this is worth trying. Clean the junk and paste the html directly into your blog post html box; the whole article is ready. Remember, images won’t coming and we have to embed them separately after pasting the html.

If your site enables using custom css styles, you can have a look of various css styles in this site

We can try this site to generate some good icons where we can attach images to the bookmarks of our articles.

Hope you will have some good time while adding your posts in the blog 😉
